Do you have an idea to benefit the world?

Social Impact Award (SIA) is Europe's largest community of early-stage social entrepreneurs under 30 and has been supporting young social innovators in implementing their own ideas and projects since 2009. Currently, young people with ideas for social and ecological projects can apply for the Social Impact Award Germany until 16 May 2022 and win a place in our 3-month incubation programme.

By organizing local events and workshop on social entrepreneurship in countries across Europe, Central Asia, and Africa, SIA aims to empower youth (15+) to found social ventures and contribute their ideas to the world’s most urgent matters. Submitting to the Social Impact Award is a chance to benefit from SIA's expertise, network, and know-how. Since 2012, they choose their hosts through an innovative licensing model to implement their ready-made programs in local ecosystems all over the world. Their concept consists of education, communication, support and building awareness around social entrepreneurship as a possible career option.

Are you ready to transform your intention into action? More details about the submission criteria and their international work you can find on their website.

  1. Thanks for informing us about the opportunity we have when applying for the Social Impact Award. For us as economic students it is really important to not only have a look at the economical benefits of creating a new business but also keeping in mind what impact it may have on the society and the environment. Therefore, we really like the idea of this project that offers support to young entrepreneurs that have a business idea with social and ecological benefits. Thinking about corporate social responsibility, newly established firms should really consider the consequences of their behavior in advance so that they know from the beginning how to take care of the future generations. We learn the theory in class but when it really comes to turning ideas into action, there is a lack of knowledge and experience. As the project promotes entrepreneurs worldwide, the participants also have the opportunity to exchange innovations in a diversified cultural and international environment. And we appreciate the concept that more than one idea receives the mentoring.
