Stress management techniques
Stress has become a big part of our lives, especially when it comes to the work environment. It makes us unable to work efficiently, comfortably and even may lead to long term mental health issues. That is why it is important to take care of ourselves and be aware of how we can possibly help ourselves and reduce it.
There are some very easy and healthy techniques to reduce levels of stress.
You can start with identifying and tracking your stressors ( what causes your stress, what triggers you, what makes you feel uncomfortable). That will help you to avoid them, if possible, or to work on them, approaching those stressors from another perspective.
Set boundaries - do not be available for work purposes after working hours. Everyone needs time for themselves, time to relax and enjoy their time off without stressing over work problems non stop.
Do not accept more responsibilities and tasks if you are psychically not able to complete them. It is okay to say no, you do not have to meet others' expectations all the time.
Release your stress by doing some sports. It can be a simple everyday walk, run or your favorite exercises. That will help you release tension from your body and keep your head sane. Try meditation to free your mind and release any negativity and overwhelming thoughts.
Last but not least, stay hydrated and have a healthy, balanced diet. Healthy body is a healthy mind, better mindset and more energy to get through the day with.
